Metropolis of Vienna receives $100,852 Group Growth Block Grant from U.S. Division of Housing and City Growth


VIENNA, W.Va. (WTAP) – The town of Vienna acquired the neighborhood growth block grant Tuesday from the U.S. Division of Housing and City Growth.

The grant is for $100,852 {dollars}. The Group Growth Block Grant program gives annual grants to assist develop viable city and rural communities by offering first rate housing, an appropriate dwelling setting, and by increasing financial alternatives.

Vienna Mayor, Randy Rapp, says a few of the issues they wish to use the cash for embrace: minor house repairs, vitality environment friendly home windows and doorways, planning and administration, and fixing issues on the senior citizen heart.

Mayor Rapp shared what this grant means for the town of Vienna.
